Protests in India over rising petroleum prices

NEW DELHI: In neighboring India, the prices of petroleum products have skyrocketed, prompting Indians to lash out at the Modi government.

According to the details, petrol and diesel prices in India went up due to the fluctuations in British and American crude oil prices in the world market.

On Saturday, for the third day in a row, the prices of petroleum products were increased by Rs 35 per litre. In Delhi, petrol was sold at Rs 105.49 per litre and diesel at Rs 94.22 per liter. Petrol was sold at Rs 111.43 per litre in Mumbai, Rs 102.70 per litre in Chennai and Rs 106.10 per litre in Calcutta.

In Mumbai, the price of diesel was Rs 102.15 per litre, in Chennai Rs 98.59 per litre and in Calcutta Rs 97.33 per litre.

Petroleum products also became more expensive in Madhya Pradesh. In Bhopal, petrol went up by Rs 114.9 per litre and diesel by Rs 103.40 per litre. In Jharkhand, petrol and diesel prices have reached close to Rs 100 per litre. Petroleum products are considered the cheapest in Jharkhand.

In major cities of India, the price of petrol has gone up to more than Rs 100 per litre. In most major cities, the price of diesel has reached close to Rs 100 per litre. In some cities, the price of diesel has gone up to more than Rs 100.

People say that Modi government has forbidden the life of citizens. Some days go by without petrol prices being raised. The Indian government has already failed to provide basic human rights to the people. People are being attacked with petrol bombs.
