KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated that ensuring ease of doing business was the foremost priority of the PTI-led federal government.
He expressed his views while talking to a delegation of businessmen and traders in the metropolis today (Saturday). The Prime Minister was accompanied by Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz and MNA Amir Mahmood Kayani.
On the occasion, PM Imran pointed out that the business community plays a pivotal role in developing the economy of the country. “Responsibility rests with the government to fully facilitate the community,” he remarked.
“Our aim is to introduce automation so that the people of the country could start their businesses in a transparent manner in a minimum possible time,” the premier added.
Referring to the construction sector, the Prime Minister highlighted that the promotion of construction and its associated sectors will generate immense job opportunities in the country.
Later, the delegation commended Prime Minister Imran Khan’s successful strategy against the COVID-19 pandemic and the incentives given to the business community.
Earlier today (Saturday), Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Karachi for a day-long visit and announced the ‘historic’ financial package for the implementation of a transformation plan meant to address the city’s issues.
Giving details on the development package, the premier said that it will be a three-year plan with the first phase of the plan to take a year while the rest will be implemented in two years.
